Arrival & Visa

Simferopol

Your language course starts on Mondays and finishes on Fridays. In general, you arrive on Saturdays and leave also on Saturdays. Upon request, you may extend your stay in the host family for one day.

Transfer

Pick-up from train station or airport to your accommodation and vice versa is included upon your arrival and departure.

Flight

Ukrainian International Airlines offers direct flights from Frankfurt/Main to Simferopol by Boeing 737 or similar aircraft by western manufacturers every Saturday from May to October. A Rail&Fly ticket from and to Frankfurt is available at extra charge. Furthermore, Aeroflot offers connecting flight via Moscow.

Train and bus

Bus and train connections to Simferopol are available. However, we do not offer them due to quality purposes.

Visa

Basically, you need a visa to enter Ukraine; your passport needs to be valid six (6) months beyond the intended departure date from Ukraine. We will arrange the visa for you; therefore we require your passport, visa application form as well as two passport pictures at least eight (8) weeks before departure. Note: You will receive your passport just shortly before departure. You may find the visa application form as part of the registration documents.

Your visa must be registered upon arrival in Simferopol. This will be handled by your contact at the university.

Currently, citizens of Schengen States do not need to obtain an entry visa for Ukraine and may stay up to 90 days. They are just required to hold a passport which is valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended departure date from Ukraine.
